DARLINGS

 Bollywood has been working a lot on social issues for the last few years and creating great content. Recently Bollywood has made a very good movie on domestic violence in which Alia Bhatt played the lead role. The name of the movie is "Darlings" and the movie is released by Netflix. 

The story of the film revolves around a husband, wife and her mother. The role of the wife is played by Alia Bhatt and she has performed very well. Alia falls in love with a boy and after the boy gets a government job, they both get married. Alia's life changes completely after marriage. The boy who loves Alia a lot before marriage now abuses Alia daily. If the food is not good, he beats Aliya, if she does not open the door quickly, he beats her. Now it has become a daily routine that Alia's husband beats Alia regularly. 

Alia's husband is a ticket checker in the railways, but his boss makes him wash the toilet of the train, so he comes home and takes out his boss's frustration on his wife. Alia's mother keeps telling her to get divorced or leave her for some time but she doesn't agree. One day, Alia comes to the words of a friend and her mother and files a domestic violence case against her husband, but her husband dismisses the case by telling her sweet words and this time  he beats not only Alia but also his mother in law. A new twist in the story of the film comes when Alia is pregnant but her husband tortures her and the pregnancy is lost. When Alia is discharged from the hospital, she is a completely new Alia and the same things that her husband used to do to her, Alia starts doing the same things and keeps her husband at home and abuses him in the way which he abuse and torture alia. 

As what he used to do, this story takes many turns and finally Alia's husband meets his end. "Darlings" is a very good and worth watching film on domestic violence and women empowerment. The movie will not waste your time at all.
