Gett: The Trial of Viviane Amsalem

According to Jewish law, only the man has the right to divorce. Either divorce for any reason or divorce without any reason. The Talmud even mentions that a man can divorce his wife even if she spoils the food. Or find another attractive woman other than your wife. And for these reasons, the consent of the woman has nothing to do with divorce. If a woman commits adultery, it is the duty of the husband to divorce her immediately.

Even if the husband forgives her, divorce is mandatory. Since divorce among Jews is given in writing, in this writing, the husband writes about terminating the marriage relationship, it is called Get or Gett, which is well-known among Jews today, which you can easily find out by Googling. While according to Talmud it is called (Sefer K'ritut) which literally means "cutting document" and it refers to Divorce Paper. The divorce certificate also mentions that the woman is now free to marry any other man. If you mention your wife by name in the divorce document, then the divorce document will be acceptable, and if you only use gestures and expressions, then this divorce document will not be acceptable. And it is written regularly in the divorce certificate

"No bill of divorce is valid that is not written expressly for the woman"

Now, in a society where men have been given so many rights, it is a necessary thing if a woman goes to divorce herself, what will happen to her ? The story of this film is also about a woman who is disgusted with her husband and wants a divorce, but she does not have the right to divorce, because the divorce will be granted only if the husband wants it. And the honor of the husband does not care if the woman divorces and remarries, because if this happens, someone else will touch the body of his "slave", which will not acceptable for man. Now, how questions are asked to him in the court room and what happens to him, you will know the answers only after watching the movie. It's very rare that you don't understand a language and watching a movie with subtitles, you can't help but applaud the dialogues.

If you die for the dialogues despite not being familiar with the language, then understand that you have experienced a great movie. Personally, I found the role of Lawyer to be the most impressive and he has done a great job of bringing life to every scene.

"The original language is Hebrew, so you can watch the movie with English subtitles."
